Head north into Brittany, and you can enjoy the distinctive Breton culture and famous regional cuisine (the seafood, cider and crepes are unmissable). Or if you want to sample the finest wines in France, head east to the Loire Valley - the chateaux, vineyards, and beautiful countryside along the banks of the Loire river are well worth visiting.
