Hamble valley has a number of popular visitor attractions including Manor Farm Country Park, Netley Abbey, Royal Victoria Country Park, Southampton Hall of Aviation and Bursledon Windmill. The outstanding natural beauty means there are plenty of walks to take in the wildlife; flora and fauna.

A great way to explore the surrounding area is through a river Hamble RIB charter. RIBs enable fast and exciting water travel as well as providing a number of water sports and activities. Skippered RIB hire is available so you can enjoy all Hamble and its surrounding area has to offer with a safe and knowledgeable skipper. Another option for those looking for a more unique location for a party is a dockside Thames sailing barge charter. A Hamble Thames sailing barge charter offers a huge amount of space to entertain guests in an unusually nautical setting.

Making Money Selling Your Timeshare-- It is Possible

When reselling your timeshare, be aware, the chances for making a profit are slim. This is a cold, hard fact and better you know it now than later.

Buy high, sell low.  That's not what any of us want to do! We are taking a bit of a backwards approach by discussing this since most people, when they buy a timeshare, don't usually think about making money on it. Instead they're thinking of how they've made an investment in future vacations. The companies who first sold you the timeshare have very effective strategi
s and you can learn a thing or two from them. First, take note that they tend to make their sales pitch during the "vacation-heavy months." June, July, and August are the best target months if you're going to try to make money on a timeshare. When selling your timeshare to make a profit, be prepared to be patient. You need to wait until the property value rises. And sometimes it won't. There is often a recurring theme in failure– false expectations. Don't count on making hundreds of dollars in a few short months,.Renting Your Timeshare to OthersRemember, that every timeshare unit is used by many people throughout the year. You can rent your portion of the timeshare to others who want a "luxury" vacation. Your renter gets a great deal– the services of a full service, upscale hotel for a good deal. ClassifiedsYour time-share owners club may offer this as a service. In this way, you'll be preaching to the converted. People who look at these classifieds are interested in the kind of unit you are renting. Or try approaching other owners (or posting a classified for this purpose). People who own timeshares before and after your dates may be looking to increase their time. AdvertisePost classifieds on as many free internet group sections that you can. Most online services such as Prodigy, AOL, etc have free or lost cost advertising. High-Pressure TacticsSales people who promote timeshares are very good at what they do. When they are doing their sales pitch on location they can count on the fact that there will be people there with money who will jump at the chance to vacation here at the same time every year.According to Dana Dratch at www.bankrate.com you can save 50% to 70% when you buy a timeshare, if you know where to look. These deep discounts mean you could return the timeshare to the market and sell it for a good profit. The website at Money Central (www.moneycentral.msn.com/content/Savinganddebt/Travelforless/P90804.asp) says think used. Try to buy from the owner rather than the developer. The owner wants to sell. "The rule of thumb is 50 cents on the dollar, on the high end," says Rogers. Shop around, though, he says, "and it can get better than that."According to syndicated travel columnist, Ed Perkins, "You can find some of them for 10 cents on the dollar."Be careful, though. If you buy from the owner you may not get all of the "package benefits" that you would if you bought from the developer.Find a Great DealAs with all things, shop around and shop carefully. Don't rush it. Your phone and the Internet can be your best tools. Google the keywords "time share" "by owner" and you will have no end to your choices. A good deal's only good if you get what you want.Once you find a property you like, research other units in the complex. See how they are the same or different from the one you're looking at. And check to see if the developer is still selling units. Find out what the retail prices are. It's suggested that you ask the current owner for references. And if you can, visit the complex and chat with other owners. Find out if they're happy with the complex or dissatisfied. It's very important to know if guests are happy with the management. To get a good idea of the place, rent for a week. Are you really getting a deal? Compare the price of a week's stay at the complex you are considering with other luxury vacations. Don't forget to add in all the fees of the timeshare.Dana Dratch at www.bankrate.com says "Decide what part of the time share appeals to you (travel or this particular property), and keep that in mind while you're dealing. If your aim is to use your purchase as a bargaining chip to trade for time in other properties, you want an attractive location, preferably during a peak season to give you the most leverage. When you talk to other owners, ask how tough it is to get your reservations or trade for other accommodations. And if you want to trade, is there a fee? Buyer BewareWhatever you do, don't get scammed. The timeshare market is like any other business. There are scammers out there who only want your money and maybe, your personal information. The first they pocket, the latter they sell.If you are careful, you can make money selling timeshares. Follow the advice above and you make experience success. If you liked this article, you'll find more  Timeshare articles at:Essential timeshare selling tips

Motor Home Across the Lone Star State

There is good reason for Texans to be proud of their state. For RVers, there are endless activities for you to do all over the Lone Star State any time of the year.

Texas is more than a state; it's a state of mind. Texans are proud of their state (which used to be an independent nation) and there are lots of reasons why - Texas hospitality, Tex-Mex food, a great tradition of Texas music, and plenty of natural beauty. If you want to get out and see the country in your recreational vehicle, Texas has lots to offer.

<
>East Texas has the best of the American south, with woodlands and lots of water. Further up in the Texas panhandle, everything is flat and green with endless blue skies. Out in western and southern Texas, the land becomes desert and you can camp right against the border. Texas is huge, and there are things to see in every corner.

Big Bend National Park, located in the far southwest corner of Texas, is known for its rugged beauty, and also for its isolation. This makes it a great spot for those who want to get away from it all. While most of the country has been divided up and tamed, Big Bend is still wilderness at its best.

You'll find a variety of natural wonders in Big Bend - from the Rio Grande River to the sky high mountain basins only an hour's drive away. The park also features desert, which is why it's like three parks in one.

There are three campgrounds run by the National Park where you can take a motor home. Between these three parks, you can find something to suit your needs. Make a reservation if you plan to head out there.

For more rugged camping in Big Bend, try the Basin Campground. The drive down can be dangerous for big rigs, so this site is recommended for smaller motor homes. Big rig parking can also be difficult here. Still, it's a great place if you want to really be deep in the wilderness.

Enchanted Rock is named after a giant rock that inspired fear in both Indians and settlers alike. The Indians of the area believed the huge rock was inhabited by ghosts, and early adventurers avoided exploration for years by because they believed it swallowed people.

Located mid-state near Fredericksburg, the Enchanted Rock sits right on the edge of the Big Sandy Creek. It is one of the biggest "batholiths" (giant underground rocks) that has been uncovered by erosion. Nowadays, the ghosts are all gone, and you can go hiking, climbing and backpacking on the rock. If you don't feel up to climbing it, there are plenty of hiking trails that surround the rock, where you can get a good view of it.

Unfortunately, you won't be staying in your motor home right at the edge of the rock. The camping close to the rock has no RV hookups and no sites big enough to pull in to. You're better staying in Fredericksburg. One good spot in Fredericksburg is the Fredericksburg RV Park, a nice facility with all the conveniences you could want. It has 100 sites, Internet access, cable TV and pretty scenery. They take reservations

If you don't want to be land-locked, Padre Island National Seashore is an option. It is located just south of Corpus Christi, and stretches along the Laguna Madre. It is a barrier island with lots of wildlife, native plants and activities to enjoy. It's the longest stretch of undeveloped barrier island in the world.

In addition to the ocean, Padre Island has rare animals including exotic birds and sea turtles. Watching the birds and the sea turtle releases are big tourist attractions. There is also great camping, a sky full of stars, and outdoor activities like bicycling to enjoy.

Destination South Padre RV Resort is perfect for all rigs. It's made specifically for recreational vehicles and offers a great view of the Laguna. It can be crowded during the tourist season, but with great views of the Gulf of Mexico and cooling ocean breezes, it is a popular spot. They take reservations.

There are things to do and see throughout the state. You can easily spend a couple of weeks touring around the state. The Lone Star State is a great place to explore with your recreational vehicle.

Amusement Parks and Theme Parks In Germany -- Part 3 of 3

In the past two parts of this report I told you about 7 TOP German Amusement Parks and Theme Parks, whose ensure you gain an unforgettable day (and a lot more).

So, with that having said, you also have to consider how much time you will have when you are in such Theme Parks. Imagine this, you would like to enjoy one more attraction, but you would have to queue up for approx. 120 minutes? Yeah, not unusual in those TOP German Amusement Parks!

Nevertheless, the fact that you have my advice and guidance, you will
be able to "prevent" yourself from such annoying situations.

Question, would you like to save approx. 50% of your valuable time while being in such TOP German Amusement Parks and Theme Parks? Yes? Okay, then read on... ;-)

Step 1

The main visiting day is Sunday, followed by Saturday. If it is possible for you thus, visit the parks under the week, between Monday and Friday. You will otherwise be annoyed to have yourself queue up 1 or 2 hours long for only one ride. That can be pesky.

Step 2

Take your time for each park. I recommend taking one complete day, at huge parks perhaps even two days. You are annoyed otherwise to have missed important attractions. Even though our Amusement Parks aren't as big as Disney World in Paris or in Orlando, you should not put yourself in a rush.

Step 3

Journey on very early. Be there before they open their gates. Early in the morning the park is empty, and you gain a more pleasant and faster overview. And if you travel by car, it's common you find a parking lot quite close to the entrance. That saves some time as well.

Step 4

Inform yourself in advance, on my Website or on the Website of the park. Which attractions do you want to visit in any case? Note it, like a "Park Route Guide". Process this plan first. If you then still have time, you still can go onto other attractions (or just repeat the most exciting ones!).

Step 5

Start at the end of the Theme Park. That way you avoid long waiting periods at individual attractions. Most visitors start their journey at the "official starting point".

BONUS-Step

Plan your midday meal, therefore the attendance in the restaurant, very early or very late. Most visitors eat in the time between noon and 1 p.m. Go eating at 11 a.m. or at 2.30 p.m., thus you save up to 60 minutes of your valuable time.

WOW! Amazing, isn't it? Just follow the above steps and you're done! Better, print this page out and refer back to it in advance to your thrilling journeys. Best, refer back to my site at www.smart-travel-germany.com/smart-travel-guide.html to get a lot more additional information and updates.

For now, enjoy whatever you do!

Unique Hotels Around The World

There are several places around the world that have very unique hotels.  Try sleeping in a capsule hotel or a treetop hotel.  There are some really fun hotels that supply you with more than a bed and a shower.

Though hotels are all similar in that they all have beds and other accommodations to make staying there much more homelike, there are some very unique hotels in various parts of the world that challenge the concept of the traditional hotel. The unique treetop hotels in Costa Rica, Kenya and other parts of the
world where the hotels are built with very large living trees making up a substantial part of the hotel structure. The treetop hotel in Kenya is built into the trees surrounding a watering hole for the many species of animals that forage there. When you leave the main dining room to go back to your room you are always accompanied by a guard for protection from wild predators. The Ariau Towers in Brazil, near the city of Manaus is in the middle of the Amazon on the Rio Negro and is a similar type of living tree hotel. Ariau Amazon Towers is another unique hotel, located 35 miles from Manaus, Brazil where the Rio Negro and Ariau Creek meet. Built entirely at the level of the Rainforest Canopy, Ariau's towers are linked together by 4 miles of strong wooden catwalks. This architectural wonder affords visitors a unique communion with the regions teeming plant and animal life while leaving the fragile eco-system completely undisturbed. Bill gates invested in the hotel and had modern telephone / internet connections installed. Straight out of Neromancer, the Sci-Fi book by William Gibson, but only for the Japanese as of yet, the unique capsule hotels are an economy type of hotel with extremely high occupancy capabilities. Most capsule hotel compartments are only about 6 ฝ feet by 4 feet by a little over 3 feet. These hotels are not recommended for large or very tall people. This amount of space certainly gives one enough room to read or sleep, but not much else. Of course if you've got wireless internet the possibilities are considerably expanded. Capsule hotels are not necessarily frequented primarily by lower income people, but are used by many types of people for many different reasons. For about $25-34 per night, a tired working person who stayed out too late drinking and missed the last train can get a night's rest. There are often discount rates for those wishing to nap for only a couple of hours during the day. There are several cave hotels throughout the world in such places as Australia, Spain, Turkey, the United States and several other countries. Rooms in cave hotels typically have the entire walls or even two or three walls made out of the mountain or other hard sediment formation that the hotel is built into. For instance there is the cave hotel in Southern Australia, an Underground hotel and casino, in Coober Pedy. The Desert Cave Hotel allows you to experience dug-out style living, underground shops, bar and opal display areas. Sleeping underground is a very unique experience. Quiet, cool, dark and airy, the rooms seem spacious with their high ceilings. The unique Desert Cave Hotel, famous as the only international rated underground hotel in the world, allows you to experience dug-out style living. It's the experience to enjoy if you are in the area. They have all of the amenities, fine dining, a pool, a beautiful spa and a well equipped gym. There is one underwater hotel in the entire world that can be reached without the aid of scuba gear which is really a unique hotel. The Utter Inn located in Lake Malaren, Sweden features one large room and visitors can simply walk down into the hotel while viewing underwater. This same company also has an undersea lodge in Key Largo, Florida that does require scuba diving to reach. The Utter (Otter) Inn in Sweden is a small floating house with a deck for sunning. Its uniqueness is that you descend the stairs into the lake. The bedroom is like an aquarium but you are the fish. There is an inflatable boat so that you can visit a near by un-inhabited island to swim and sun. You will have to buy the deluxe package to have dinner delivered to you (by boat, of course) in the evening. These are the few totally different and unique hotels around the world. Be adventuresome and check one or two of the out.

Touring Tuscany and Rome

Italy attracts millions of visitors each year, drawn by its beautiful rural areas, historic cities and welcoming atmosphere. A touring holiday of Tuscany and Rome is a great way to see some of Italy's real highlights.

A typical ten day escorted holiday of the region provides ample time to see some of the sights of the region. Relaxing on an executive coach provides a wonderful, stress-free way to enjoy the countryside of Tuscany.

It's little wonder that so many people have become enchanted by this part of Ita
y. Most excursions to this part of Italy would be expected to take in the two glorious cities of Florence and Pisa.

Both have enchanting districts, as well as the spectacular sights provided by their cathedrals. In the case of Pisa, its Leaning Tower remains one of the most distinctive structures on the planet.

If you've never visited Italy before then you will be pleasantly surprised by the food that is on offer. Even in the most basic Tuscan restaurant you can expect to be served freshly made food, using the finest local ingredients.

Italian cooking in this region relies heavily on locally grown tomatoes and olive oil. As Europe's largest producer of wine, you'll find that you won't go thirsty here either!

To the south of the cities of Pisa and Florence, you'll find that many escorted holidays will include a visit to the towns of Siena and San Gimignano. The latter is famed for its medieval towers, drawing comparisons with modern day Manhattan.

As you are driven through the Tuscan landscape, there seems to be a great view at every turn. This is the land of Chianti wine and you'll see vineyards dotted around many of the hills of Tuscany.

Rome, at the end of many guided touring holidays, has its own charms of course. The remains of the great Roman Empire are still to be found here, while the modern hotel facilities are of a high standard.

A holiday to Tuscany and Rome provides stimulation for all the senses.

If you want to add more excitement to your fishing activity, you can hold competition of fishing with your kids. Common Questions About Cruise Ship Vacations

Cruise ship vacations are one of the most exotic and exciting trips that can be made. One of the most exciting parts about a cruise is that passengers travel to several different places in one trip. The passengers get all of the excitement of taking the cruise, and they also get to go on shore to the destinations on the trip.

There are many different kinds of cruises. Some are oriented for destinations, some are for ocean trips exclusively, some are designed to be romantic, some are family friendly, and some are designed for senior
citizens. All of this variety makes a cruise vacation right for almost anyone.

If you have decided to take a cruise, you might wonder about how the trip may go and what kinds of things you should bring. The first thing you should make sure that you have is a passport. This is necessary for any international cruise destinations. If you do not have your passport, you will not be allowed into any other country. However, some cruises only travel within a specific country. If it is your home country then you do not have to worry about getting a passport.

Another issue that many people wonder about is money. What exactly is included in the price of the cruise package? Usually the package includes meals, sleeping arrangements, and passage. Everything else will have to be purchased per passenger such as drinks, tips, travel away from the ship, and other items. In many cases the cruise ships run off of a digital system which means that everything is billed to the passenger at the end of the trip.

Another common question about cruise ship vacations is whether or not the passengers have control over their schedules. This really depends on the type of trip. Some cruises are more regimented than others. Some ships only control meal times, while others have scheduled events, and even scheduled tours of the destination cities. If this concerns you then make sure to ask your travel agent about the ships schedule before deciding on which cruise to take.

What to wear on a cruise ship vacation often worries people. The best things to pack are clothes that match the climate that the ship will be sailing through. If the destination is a cold place, then pack sweaters and long sleeves. If the destination is in a warm climate, then shorts and tank tops are in order. Ask your travel agent what activities are offered on your cruise and you will be able to pack appropriate clothing from there. Most cruises also have evening activities, so packing something more formal is also a good idea.

There are many different types of cruises that focus on a specific hobby. It is a good idea to look at those kinds of cruises before deciding on which one to take. There are cruises that specialize in water parks, ice rinks, golf courses, rock climbing, swimming, gambling, and more. Each of these cruises offer something different for each persons different likes and dislikes. Consider taking a specialized cruise if you are very interested in a particular hobby or activity. You can ask your travel agent if there are any cruises that offer the activity that you love best.

Theme travel around Switzerland. Wine and Cuisine. Part 3

This time we will speak about Schaffhausen and& Liechtenstein.

Liechtenstein. The land of the princely wine cellars.

Whatever one might think, when we speak about winemaking in this or that country, we shouldnt be stopped by the state borders. For instance, the German-speaking part of Switzerland is famous for its wine which in past was produced specially for the royalties, particularly the prince of Liechtenstein. One could say that his principality is the continuation of Bndner Herrschaft, located in the far
east of Switzerland.

Roman commander Drusus and Tiberius planted the first vineyard on the right bridge of Rhine in the 15th century BC. These abundant slopes are perfect for such grape varieties as Blauburgunder, Muller-Thurgaua and some others. Liechtenstein offers simple table wines as well as first-rate ones, worthy of international acknowledgement. And if you go up the mountains, you will enjoy magnificent views over the Rhine valley, the Liechtenstein Alps and the eastern Switzerland. Various Liechtenstein cheese varieties and Malbuner smoked ham are produced in the mountains.

Liechtenstein has no its own particular cuisine still, it is rather often that local restaurants get Michelin stars. The countrys situation between Austria and Switzerland has played a principal role in the development of its gastronomy which mixes rural German and magnificent Austrian dishes. They also cook dishes of the eastern Switzerland. Salted boiled fillet with horseradish sauce, boiled meat with cream gravy& Local delicacy is Kasknopfle (a sort of cheese mini-dumplings) with smashed apples rather a simple, but still delicious dish.

Hofkellerei, the winery of the Princely Court, are excellent for wine-tasting. Located 10 minutes walk from Vaduz.

Schaffhausen. Blauburgunder country on Rhine.

Schaffhausen mostly borders with Germany. Still, its the most northern canton, filled with Swiss spirit. The most interesting travel objects are the Rhine Waterfall, which used to be the natural border and is now visited by millions of tourists every year, and the Old Town.

The gentle slopes of Klettgau are mostly used for grape and grain planting. Winemakers of Schaffhausen plant more than 30 varieties of vine, but the most important are Thurgau and Blauburgunder (Pinot Noir) which make the 75 % of all the vineyards. That is why this region is also often called the land of Blauburgunder. Most of local wines are light ones.

Of course, local menu is greatly influenced by an abundance of fish. Rheinasche fish is the local delicacy, which is baked in an oven and sprinkled with butter. Bolletunne is a delicious onion pie and Schublinge are baked sausages. And, of course, one of the places worth visiting here is the Schaffhausen farm market (at Kirchhofplatz) located next to the church. The market works on Fridays and Saturdays and offers fresh products produced at local farms.

That is all we can tell you about Swiss wine regions. The next step is to check it all by yourself!

Ecuador has rapidly become the destination of choice for travelers looking for the right combination of convenience and adventure. You can fly to Quito direct from Atlanta and be there in just 5 hours &' theres no jet lag, so you can begin your tour right away instead of sleeping off half a day in your hotel.

Ecuadors unique geography puts an incredibly diverse range of ecosystems in easy reach. It will keep you wondering how one country can offer such variety. However, the jewel in Ecuadors ecotourism crown is the Galapagos
slands, located 600 miles off the coast. The Galapagos is more than a unique site for biological diversity, however. Its filled with a deep, powerful history that changed the course of human thinking about life itself. Thats why the Galapagos Islands have been made a UNESCO World Heritage site. Contrary to what many people believe, however, its possible to visit much of the Galapagos without disturbing its unique legacy.

The islands boast spectacular volcanic rock landscapes and barren vegetation along with a variety of exotic and rare wildlife, including giant tortoises, iguanas, sea lions and the blue footed boobies. Long considered a natural laboratory, the Galapagos archipelago sits in the Pacific Ocean with 125 islands, 5 of which are inhabited. 97% of this 3000 square mile territory compromises the Galapagos National Park. When you visit this national park youll see efforts to protect the islands first hand. The park authority limits the number of visitors to the islands each year, so its essential to plan ahead with a tour package.

You can only reach them by a flight from Guayaquil then on small ocean vessels. No large cruise ships allowed, and ecotourism policies ensure that travelers leave a minimum impact n the land. The only evidence of your visit youll leave on the islands is your footprints. Currently, the Galapagos Islands are at a critical turning point; authorities may further limit the number of visitors each year to better preserve the islands, so travelers are advised to book their tours soon.

Condor Outfitters offers tour packages that include the Galapagos Islands and more &' Ecuador has plenty of other natural and cultural attractions. In their recommended itinerary, travelers fly from the islands to the Amazon basin, with an overnight stay in Ecuadors capital, Quito: an attraction in of itself, nestled in the Andes, 9000 feet above sea level. From there, you would take a commuter flight to the town of Coca for a 2 hour journey by boat up the Napo River to the Yasuni National Park.

This enormous UNESCO site (about 5 million acres) includes the Yasun, Nashino, Cononaco, and Tiputini river basins, and can only be reaches by boat. The park is well known for the diverse wildlife that inhabits its densely forested hillsides and permanently flooded lowlands. Yasun wildlife highlights include monkeys, jaguars, harpy eagles, snakes, tropical birds and caimans. The average temperature here is around 80 degrees year around. Eco friendly lodges are available for an enhanced travel experience.
The Galapagos and Yasuni National Park are only two of the once in a lifetime destinations available in Ecuador. If we described the other natural, cultural and historical attractions available here, this article would never end. The allure of this country is in its unparalleled variety.

Your Cruise Vacation - Cruise Ship Embarkation Procedures

A cruise vacation is everyone's dream. Cruise travel is a great way to see the world, so here are some cruise tips for the day you embark on your cruise.

The Cruise vacation you have been planning for a year is now a reality. You've packed your bags with the appropriate clothes for cruise travel.  You have filled out all of the cruise documentation, do this at home, don't wait to get to your cruise ship, and now you are ready for this highly anticipated cruise.  There are a few cruises tips about embark
tion day that you should know before you head for your cruise vacation.

Keep all of your documents with you, that includes tickets for the cruise, any vouchers, passport and any immigration forms that the cruise line has sent you.  That includes bus vouchers from the cruise line that will deliver you to the ship from the airport.  In is wise to pack a change of clothes in your carry on in case your baggage gets delayed.  If you have purchased the vouchers from the cruise line, a cruise line representative will meet you at baggage claim and take you to the bus or van that will transport you to your cruise ship.

If you decided to handle the transfer on your own, check ahead of time to find out how much a taxi will cost from the airport to the pier. It is good to know how long it will take to make the transfer so you have timed your flights accordingly.  Make sure you have attached your cruise line tags with ship name, cruising date, and stateroom number.  When you arrive at the pier a porter will relieve of your bags.  He will expect to be tipped.  The going fare is one dollar per bag.

Cruise tips are always helpful so pay attention to this one.  Let the cruise line make your airline reservations.  The reason for this is that if your flight is delayed the cruise line will handle it.  If there are several other passengers on the same flight the cruise line will delay the departure of the ship.  If it's just you and your traveling companion they will probably put you up in a hotel in the town of your embarkation and get you on the ship at the next port of call.  If you opted to do it on your own, you will have to make all those arrangements.  So, for safety and peace of mind let the cruise lines do it.

If you have decided to go to the town of embarkation a few days before the cruise, that will not be a problem, so make your own reservations.  Some travel insurance companies will pick up these expenses but make sure you read the fine print on the policy BEFORE your cruise vacation.

When you get to your cruise ship, embarkation could be a little chaotic.  There will be lines, especially early in the check in process.  There will be a lot of stressed out people so just relax and take it in stride. After you have gone through the check in process you will be aboard and your cruise vacations begins. Here is where it pays to have all of your documentation completely filled out.  Many of the cruise lines have loyalty programs so if you are a repeat cruiser many times they have preferred check in areas.  Many of the cruise lines will have preferred check in for cruisers who have booked suites or mini suites.  Check this out with your cruise travel agent.

This is a little off topic but it's one of the best cruise tips you will hear. Use a cruise travel agent for all of your cruise travel.  It is important to deal with an agent that has sailed on many different cruise lines so they can give you an honest opinion on the difference between cruise lines. Check and see if they are CLIA certified cruise lines organization. Be careful they don't push you onto cruise ships where they have preferred status which means they get a higher commission. Scour the internet for cruise reviews on cruise travel to back up what your travel agent is telling you.

Now back to the pier. While you are checking in you will have to give the cruise line a credit card for any on board charges.  Most times your room card is also your credit card and identification for getting on and off at ports while on the cruise ship. If you can get on the ship early in the process you get two benefits.  One you get to have lunch and two you get the first shot at spa and beauty appointments.  It will also give you time to peruse your cruise ship and then head for the pool. Having been a savvy cruise traveler you knew to bag a bathing suit into your carry on luggage.

Just before you get to the gangway you will be stopped by the ships photographer and a picture will be taken to commemorate your cruise vacation.  It will be on display in the ships photo gallery but you are under no obligation to purchase it. Check in procedures will be different from ship to ship even within the same cruise lines.  It depends on the experience of the staff and the cooperation of the passengers.  Remember that these folks that are checking you in have been working since seven o'clock in the morning off loading the people from last weeks cruise vacation. Then they turn around and start putting on a whole new set of passengers for the next cruise.

The most important advice is to try to keep a cool head.  You are headed for the best thing you can imagine, a cruise vacation.

Happy Cruising!

Travel insurance is very affordably priced, so please check out your options.

If you are a timeshare owner, you may find that now and then you want to rent out your designated time. And if you are a vacationer looking for a good deal, renting a timeshare may be just the answer. Are you looking to rent a timeshare or do you have a timeshare you want to rent? Of course owning will always be less expensive than renting o
er time. However, you may be in a position where you aren't interested in making a huge commitment. Renting will be your more expensive but best option. You need to find an owner who wants to rent their unit. Go online and check out the classified. You'll have lots of choices. Owners who can't go on a vacation during their designated week may be very eager to connect with you as a renter.Check out www.RedWeek.com because it works in a for-sale-by-owner fashion, allowing you to connect with timeshare owners directly to rent condo-style accommodations without middle-man markup (and no timeshare sales tours whatsoever). How many people can stay in it? What are the check-in and check-out times? Are there other restrictions? You Are an Owner but you Want to RentOne of the best things about owning a timeshare is that you are now part of a huge, worldwide network of other owners. You are now able to trade your timeshare slot with someone who has a timeshare in a place you'd love to visit. Bingo! You both benefit. When you rent your own timeshare out, be aware that you could be liable for any damages your renter causes. Decide on your rental price. You can get a good idea of what to ask by researching your competition.A Rental AgreementMake a very clear rental agreement. Put in all your terms and conditions. Be prepared for events such as your renter backing out at the last minute. Will you charge a fee for that? Weekend Port Breaks To Normandy

It is so easy to pop on a boat, either as a foot passenger or with your car, and prices for short breaks are still very reasonable. Brittany Ferries sails into Cherbourg as well as Caen each day and LD Lines have daily sailings to Le Havre. Add in Condor Ferries who also sail to Cherbourg and there is quite a choice. The port towns are also interesting in themselves and too often we drive straight through them onto our gite or hotel. However, why not consider staying in one of the port towns.

Cherbourg has long been a centre for
the French navy as well as a popular destination for yachtsmen who enjoy the challenge of the choppy seas and challenging winds often found off 'La Manche'. The town was once the centre for transatlantic liners and its heyday saw many celebrities arrive or depart from the Gare Maritime. Now it has been transformed into the Cite de la Mer, an impressive museum dedicated to the world undersea and exhibiting the word's largest submarine open to the public. The town also has numerous quayside restaurants and hotels as well as several colourful markets. For art lovers, the Thomas Henry Fine Arts Museum boasts a good collection of works by local artists and for visitors on the Second World War trail there is a Museum dedicated to the liberation, although the Invasion beaches are further down the coastline.

La Havre is a commercial port and its 2kms of beach open onto the Seine estuary which is great for bird watching or painting breaks. The town has a modern feel having suffered major destruction during World War II but it was rebuilt to the original plans and has a busy commercial and cultural centre. The Malraux Museum is an ultra-modern building on the sea front which has a good collection of Impressionist works together with art from other centuries. Other things of interest include the Notre Dame Cathedral and the Natural History Museum.

Although the ferry docks at the attractive seaside resort and fishing harbour of Ouistreham, there is a shuttle link plus a good bus service to Caen which is within 15 miles. Caen has historical roots dating back to William of Normandy who commissioned the building of Abbaye aux Hommes as well as the Abbaye aux Dames and this is where his wife, Mathilde, has her final resting place. Both building survived the destruction of bombardments in 1944 and although large parts of it were rebuilt it offers a good mix of old and new with various markets held daily. Most visitors head straight for the superb Le Memorial de Caen museum which not only covers all aspect of World War II but also has a good range of restaurants and several memorial gardens dedicated to the Allied troops. Opposite you will find Colline aux Oiseaux Floral Park which was once a rubbish tip but now is a 41 acre site of landscaped gardens dedicated to peace. However it is also worth visiting the Jardin Botanique as well as the city's Fine Beaux-Arts Museum.

Azamara Cruises Makes a Big Splash With Low Cruise Rates

Azamara Cruises which is a boutique small ship cruise experience is a product that was designed by the owners to compete with Oceania Cruises....

The ships are the same model and up until now the pricing has been presented in the same way as Oceania Cruises, but starting tomorrow that all changes.  Azamara Cruises will now be presenting their cruises without airfare included.  Their customers have told them they would prefer this pricing model, because so many travelers are usi
g their miles to purchase air travel and/or have a definite preference on whom they prefer to travel in order to add to their milage accounts.

We are entering an age where the consumer is mandating more transparency in the products they purchase as well as in how our government is spending our tax dollars, so it is the right decision at the right time on the part of Azamara Cruises.  And the consumer will benefit greatly by that decision.  You will know the true cost of the cruise portion in every instance.

They are matching this announcement with another one that continues the reduced deposit by 50% that they began in January.  The two together are a powerful statement of value for this cruise line.  If a small ship cruise is in your future you should definitely take a look at Azamara Cruises as a possible seclection.

As Low As $999

There are itineraries in Europe priced as low as $999 per person...that is an amazing value for this product.   We were fortunate to have sailed on this line last summer and the service was wonderful, the food excellent, and the placement of the ship while in the ports was unlike anything the large ships could offer.  Because of the size of the Azamara ships they can dock in the heart of the destination, in some cases going up rivers to dock in the middle of the city , such as in St. Petersburg.  That ability adds immeasurably to the enjoyment of your trip.
